NCC Achievements
De Paul School NCC Cadets Excel in Trekking and Competitions.
National Trekking Camp (May 6-13)
Five NCC cadets from Class IX – Veda Sri, Aastha, Poojitha, Amoolya, and Vijayalakshmi – participated in the National Trekking Camp at Ooty, organized by NCC AP &Telangana, and received Participation Certificates.
Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat II (June 15-26)
Senior category NCC cadets excelled in various competitions:
Quiz Winners: Deepika and Aastha (IX); Throw Ball Winners: Shiny, Likhitha, Chaitra, and Rishitha (IX); Basket Ball Runners-up: Ayesha, Amoolya, and Poojitha (IX)
ASISC Regional Literary Competitions
The following students represented our school in the ASISC, AP &Telangana Regional Literary Competitions 2024 on 29th August:
Debate Competition (Junior Category):
Udipti P. and Ira Thakur from Class X participated in the Debate Competition held at the Fr. George Hess Memorial Zonal/Regional Literary Competitions at St. Joseph’s Public School, King Koti, Hyderabad. They were awarded participation certificates.
Drawing & Painting Competition:
Kandregula Parineet from Class IX (Junior Category) and G. Kanika Reddy from Class VII (Sub-Junior Category) participated in the Drawing & Painting Competition at the Fr. George Hess Memorial Zonal/Regional Literary Competitions held at St. Joseph’s School, Asmangadh Palace, Malakpet, Hyderabad. They were awarded participation certificates.
Quiz Competition (Junior Category):
M. Chaitanya Naresh from Class X and A. Niranjana from Class IX participated in the Quiz Competition held at the Fr. George Hess Memorial Zonal/Regional Literary Competitions at St. Joseph’s School, Asmangadh Palace, Malakpet, Hyderabad, and secured Second Position.
Quiz Champs – Union Bank Of India
Quizzards of De Paul, M. Chaitanya Naresh – X ‘C’ and Niranjana – IX ‘C’ bagged secured 1st Prize in the Inter school Quiz at the City and Zonal level conducted by Union Bank of India.
State Karate Champs
Kenko Shotokan Karate Association organised State Open Karate Championship on 15th September. The prize winners are: Sanwika V ‘K’ – 2 gold medals; Gunjan VIII ‘A’ – gold and bronze medals; Shanmukha – IX ‘C’ – Silver medal; Irena Jestin – IX ‘C’ – bronze medal and Akshay Kumar X ‘C’ – silver medal.
Painting Competition On Energy Conservation:
K. Parineeth of Class IX bagged Fourth position in the State level painting competition on Energy conservation, conducted by NTPC. He was awarded Trophy, Certificate of Appreciation and a cash prize of Rs 7,500/-

NCC RDC Camp 1 Achievement:
Cherisha S of IX A of IX C got selected for Pre RDC Camp 1 at Secunderabad representing A P &Telangana Directorate in the Cultural Event at New Delhi.

Sergeant Cherisha Selvaraj of Class IX from De Paul School, Ukkunagaram represented A P &Telengana directorate under Cultural Segment in Republic Day Camp 2024 at New Delhi.
After a long selection process of IUC at Visakhapatnam and IGC at Secunderabad, Cherisha was part of the Cultural Group dance and Ballet from AP &Telangana directorate of NCC Army Wing.
2023-2024
Indian Army Quiz
Commemorating 25 glorious years of Kargil victory, “Battle of Minds” All India Army Quiz, was held at New Delhi on 3rd December 2023.
De Paul School, Ukkunagaram team lead by Rounak Siddique, Alson Joseph, Chaitanya Naresh and Niranjana bagged 5th position in the Grand Finale. The team cleared the 1st tier at Secunderabad standing top amongst 216 schools. The Semi-finals were held at Chennai and out of 72 schools De Paul team stood as one of the finalists. The Grand Finale was conducted for top 12 teams from all over India. In the 2 level rounds of Finals, De Paul team reached to the Centre stage for the 6 round Quiz.
The team received Certificates of Appreciation, a combined cheque of Rupees 2,90,000/- and Samsung Tabs for the individual participants & Mentor from Mrs. Archana Pande, President Army Wives Welfare Association. The event was graced by Principal Fr. Johnson Jacob and Mentor Mr. Siva Prasad.
The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
2022-2023
ASISC – AP & TG --- Regional Literary Events 2022
Drawing and Painting:
Debesh Ghosh of VII E and G. Nischal of X E participated in the Drawing and Painting event hosted by St. Aloysius High School under Sub junior and Junior Categories respectively. Both the participants have bagged 2nd position at the Regional level.
Declamation:
K. Brihad Vardhan of VII C and G. Sai Anjana of X B participated in the Declamation event hosted by Fort Catholic Girls School under Sub junior and Junior Categories respectively. The 2nd position was bagged by K. Brihad Vardhan and competed with the other schools from Telangana region. He secured Runner up position in the Regional level Declamation event.
Quiz:
Chaitanya Naresh N of VIII E and Niranjana A of VII B as a Team and Sk. Rounak Siddiquie of IX B and Niharika P of IX C as a Team participated in the Quiz event hosted by De Paul School, Ukkunagaram under Sub junior and Junior Categories respectively. Both the Teams secured 2nd position at the Zonal level and competed with the Telangana Teams. At the Regional level the Sub junior Team bagged Winners position and will compete at the Nationals to be held at Lucknow in September.
Debate:
K. Harshita of X B and Ch. Krishna Priya of X E participated in the Debate event hosted by Timpany School under Junior Category. The duo bagged 1st position at the Zonal level and competed with the Telangana Teams. At the Regional level the Team secured Winners position and will compete at the Nationals to be held at Lucknow in September. Ch. Krishna Priya was adjudged as “Best Speaker” at the Regional level.

NCC RDC Camp 1 Achievement:
Gowri P Sudhakar of IX A and Neha Akshaya of IX D attended IGC wherein from Junior Wing Visakhapatnam group (only 2) got selected for Pre RDC Camp 1 at Secunderabad representing A P &Telangana Directorate.
Participation in RDC Camp:
Gowri P Sudhakar of IX A and Neha Akshaya of IX D were the only2 cadets from NCC Army Junior Wing Visakhapatnam group to represent A P &Telangana Directorate for RDC at Delhi. While crossing stringent hurdles from ATC to Pre RDC the duo made it RDC, New Delhi. Neha was part of Central cultural and Gowri was a part of Central MC team. As part of the beautiful stay the cadets interacted with Chief Ministers of Delhi and Assam, Defence Minister and Honourable President and Honourable Prime minister.
WIN VIN Quiz
On the occasion of Silver jubilee celebration of Congregation of the mission, Southern Indian Province, Win Vin Quiz Competition was conducted for all the 9 schools under their province. Alson Joseph and Chaitanya Naresh from 8th E emerged as 1st Runners up bagging individual trophies and a cash award of Rs. 8,000/-
Inter School Quiz Quest:
De Paul School, Ukkunagaram has hosted Quiz Quest, on 21st January 2023 in the school campus at Sector 8, Ukkunagaram. Fr. Saji, Councillor in charge of Social Activities, addressed the occasion and mentioned that students need to be exposed to enhance the intellect check and sharpen the skills. Fr. Christy, Vice Principal cum Financial Administrator graced the occasion. The Quiz Masters Mr. A. G. K. Murthy, conducted Preliminary and Final Rounds for Senior and Junior Categories and Mr. Damodar for Sub junior Category. Fr. Johnson Jacob and Rev. Fr. Saji Njarackal C.M. distributed Souvenirs and certificates to the Winners, 1st Runners up and 2nd Runners up teams. All the participants from 7 schools received participation certificates. De Paul School, Ukkunagaram bagged Over all Championship trophy by scoring maximum points and Winners position under all 3 categories, DAVC Public School, Ukkunagaram bagged 1st Runners up trophy and 2nd Runners up trophy was bagged by Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram.
